Overview & Applications

CF8M stainless steel tees are designed to branch fluid flow in threaded or socket-weld stainless steel piping systems, providing durable three-way distribution in industrial fluid networks. Manufactured from cast stainless steel equivalent to 316 stainless steel, these fittings offer excellent resistance to corrosion, chemical attack, and high-temperature conditions. CF8M tees are commonly used to distribute flow to branch circuits in chemical processing plants, sanitary food and beverage piping systems, marine seawater networks, and industrial process lines. Threaded versions allow easy installation and system maintenance, while socket-weld configurations provide strong permanent joints for high-pressure service applications.

Performance & Material Advantages

The CF8M stainless steel alloy provides excellent corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and long service life in demanding environments. These tees maintain dimensional stability under pressure fluctuations, vibration, and thermal cycling while supporting balanced fluid distribution between main and branch lines. Their corrosion-resistant material performs well in chloride-rich environments, aggressive chemical processing systems, sanitary washdown applications, and marine piping networks.

Technical Specifications

CF8M stainless steel tees are manufactured in accordance with MSS SP-114 dimensional standards and ASME B1.20.1 threading requirements or ASME B16.11 socket-weld specifications. The cast CF8M body maintains structural strength under multi-directional pressure loads while offering strong resistance to pitting corrosion and chemical stress cracking. Precision-machined threads ensure proper taper and secure sealing.

Industries Served

CF8M stainless steel tees integrate easily with other stainless fittings such as elbows, reducers, plugs, valves, and couplings to create complete piping system layouts. Threaded tees support system reconfiguration and maintenance access, while socket-weld tees provide strong permanent joints for high-pressure applications. Fabricators use these fittings to design modular piping assemblies, branch-intensive layouts, and compact stainless distribution manifolds in industrial and laboratory fluid systems.
